Crepe in japan Introduction Japan economy is growing at a relatively faster rate. These give many promises to establishing business opportunities in the country. Crepes businesses in japans are doing well in the country. The growth of the sales has been picking up since the crepe business started until reached pick. Despite this, sluggishness in marketing strategies and promotional activities are threatening the crepe business in japan. The restaurants that make this product are finding themselves at difficult times in trying to retain customers amid the production of high-quality products (Flath, p. 27). Japanese crepes often offer several filling combinations, majority of them are sweet. Crepe business in japan needs many strategies to ensure that the business maintains its high standards in addition to retaining and attracting more customers. Japanese crepes are considered soft and crispy. They do not only serve as crepes for dessert but also crepes for savory that can be as a lunch meal. Crepes in japan do have several savory choices that make individual crave for it by just looking at it. Crepes in japan are from recipes of top secret that are normally soft and light and not making the product doughy. In japan, crepe brands have a huge popularity. Its popularity outside the country is slowly gaining recognition from the consumers. Promo- media mix and budget The promotional strategies of crepes in japan are weak. This has for long proven a major setback in the efforts that are aiming at pushing the brand of crepes further in the market. Hence, crepe cannot attract more people and compete against other brands of crepes that have been established in the country. Those selling crepes have started employing the use of new strategies in marketing their products with visual media including screen advertisement and the use of websites to enhance the popularity of their brands. The restaurants websites have been redesigned to be more users friendly and simple; the websites are with full information about the product and the anything that the customers may need to know about the crepe. In this way, the restaurants utilize these media as a powerful tool of marketing its products. The restaurants are spending much in seeing their products are publicized and get to be known by many people. The use of Medias such as television adverts, radio advert and social media has been used intensively to help in making the crepes popular among the Japanese population. The restaurants budget for advertisement and other marketing strategies are put aside knowing that the marketing the business will attract more customers and keep the business running (scribd.com). In japan, television advertisement is done through NHK, which is the main Japanese broadcasting corporation. This is done to ensure majority of the people are reached. Radio advertisement is done through kawaii radio station. Radio acts as the best tool to reach nearly the entire Japanese population. Radio advertisement has no specific time; it can be done any time of the day. Business magazines such as Nikkei business magazines will be used to a tool of advertisement for the Japanese crepe. Television advert is expensive but forms the best tool to ensure the product is publicized. The best time for adverting is during night hours when majority of the population is glued on the television for news programs. The total cost of advertisement will cost the restaurant a total of $10,000 using all means of advertisement. This will be costly for the restaurants though it will be worth. If the company is young and has no enough resources, then the figures spent on television advertisement does not make sense hence the restaurant can use other means of advertisement. Promo-personal selling/PR To promote the crepes, the restaurants have resorted to making the products fresh and make them get certified. To make more promotions, the restaurants offer promotions such as buying one and getting one free or paying less so that they attract more customers to buy their products. The use of points and tokens has been employed in a way that customers can redeem free crepes or get a discount for being a member. This has been made to help in attracting customers back to purchase the products. To ensure customer retention and the business attracts new other customers, the restaurants need to employ good public relations in the business. The restaurants must be willing to spend much in ensuring the customers’ needs and comfort is all met. Customers are always affected with poor public relations and are often encouraged to come back in places where they feel appreciated. Therefore, crepe businesses in japan are all working towards seeing their restaurants fully equipped. They are practicing good public relations so that they can attract customers and retain the already existing customers to keep the business flourishing. In promoting personal relations and personal selling, the restaurants can engage in bringing activities like family day out, where families can come to spend and enjoy their stay in the restaurants. The activities should be able to bring families and have entertainment events that will ensure the customers attention are caught so that all the aspect of the customer are met. The use of events and entertainments like dramas, music, visual pictures and videos makes the customers feel well taken care of and chances are that they will come back. Through this, the customers will also help in advertising the restaurant through word of mouth in the community thereby attracting more customers. Conclusion Crepes In japan is almost reaching points of declining since less promotional activities are being used as strategies to enhance the sales. The consumer curiosity helps in enhancing the sales growth of crepe in japan. In japan, crepes products are directly distributed to the outlets to expand the markets. The crepes in japan come in various flavors including the crispy and savory crepes. Most of the crepes in japan are on the spot as desserts. Everything that entails the making of the crepes from the icing to the fruits, all are made on the same spot when an order is made. They are with no preservative being added on, and this offers an alternative to enjoy the dessert. The option of not using preservatives in the preparation of crepes in japan gives an alternative to the individuals who are not always seeking crispy crepes but also the yummiest at the same time (alphabetcityblog.com). These desserts are one hundred percent made from the Japanese recipe that are original and thus attract several Japanese customers. Crepes in japan are sold just like any other foodstuffs; high quality and fresh. The outlets that serve to sell the crepes are made in a way that they look comfortable, cozy and have a unique atmosphere. Works cited Flath, David. Japanese Economy.
