This is a case study regarding a sudden devastating attack made by the terrorist over the UK transport system. In this paper my attempt is related to the management of all kinds that can well assist people with accurate information and reliability systems. This is a risk management task and the efficiencies are very much dependent over the promptness of the assistance and the mangers allotted to the whole management task. The paper discusses over the incident in relation to the political and national implications of the event. The follow ups were all well managed and there was the understanding of the instructions as discussed in the International Journal of Emergency Management. I have also made an analytical inspection over the statutory services during such emergency. The case It was exactly a moment of great terror when there was a sudden attack of terrorism in the UK transport system. It was around 8:50 a.m. on the 7th of July 2008. The attack was exactly at the heart of the UK transport system. Added to this strike there was also equal and multiple explosions on a number of passenger trains. These were consecutively on the London underground Circle Line tunnel between the route from Liverpool Street and Aldgate stations. The next was on the line was on the Circle Line just outside Edgware Road. Followed by this there was the third explosion in a Piccadilly Line tunnel between King's Cross and Russell Square. This get concluded with two more explosions within an hour. These were at the upper deck of a No. 30 bus in Piccadilly Square Manchester and a second on a high speed train in the channel tunnel. The later estimations show that approximately 700 people have been killed in this sudden mishap. This further gets followed by many more being trapped in the wreckage at the various incident sites. There are more than 1600 people who are injured. The initial response to each of the incident sites is rapid, with emergency services' resources arriving on scene within minutes of the first calls being received at 999 control centres. the command and control structures It is very appropriate that the London Underground Network Operations Centre decides to declare a network emergency, added to the act of evacuation of the whole London Underground network. This was not that easy as the whole area is always thronged with people on busy schedules. The command and control structure was initiated well by the London Underground stuff and the assistance was well managed by the Manchester and Kent. However as for my interpretation, in such emergency, it is also very important to act worth the Rapid Action Force. As there is no assurance for further blasts the military and the police assistance turns up to be more necessary. Sally Buchanan, (2000, pp. 159-165) declares that the participation of the ambulance and fire crews were of great need during this emergency. These are supported by 6 Urban Search and Rescue Teams from across the Country as the incident is declared a level Four incident' It has been estimated that over 350 vehicles and over 600 staff are deployed by the London and Regional Ambulance Services, including assistance provided through mutual aid arrangements. There is a confirmation that the entire injured people are rescued, medically assessed, treated and, where necessary, evacuated to hospitals within five hours. Immediate application of Strategic Health Authorities across the Country play a significant part in the response and all London and effected Regional hospitals are placed on major incident alert, with 2,200 beds rapidly being made available for more than 1600 casualties arriving at accident and emergency departments over a period of several hours. The vast majority (more than 80%) are fit for discharge on the same day. Of the 300 casualties admitted to hospital 43 die of their injuries. Above all these efforts the participations as has been led by the voluntary sector, plays a vital and significant role in the response providing a wide range of support services and assistance. Emergency management There many points forwarded by National Civil Defence Emergency Plan Order 2005, that can be well followed for al kinds of prior planning. As for the sudden terroristic attacks like these the preparation should be made before hand. There should be proper participation of the professionals in the field of bringing in training to deal with such emergencies in the local levels, state provincials, and the federal and very private organizational units. As stated by David Alexander, (2002), these trainings need to be made compulsory for every educational institute, corporate communities and residential areas. These trainings need to be so planned that it reaches as many people as it can. The training will turn up to be of great fruitfulness for the basic prevention of such incidents and also for the immediate back up of security towards health and injuries. These trainings are related to every possible aspect ranging from public information and to the media relations. These can help many volunteers to join the necessary assistance to help more people. These are also meant for the high-level incident command and that is incredibly applicable for all the tactical and the structural skills. These trainings also include the studying of terrorist bombing site added to the act of controlling every particular emergency scene. These kinds of compulsory trainings prove to be of great help to the administration and the Government. The sudden attacks as get initiated by the efficiently trained executives. These executives are made to be on the floor as soon as the emergency was at its strike. There were an innumerable numbers of calls coming in. Among all these a number of 43,000 calls are received in the Casualty Bureau. As in the course of the incident the estimations shows that 7,823 persons were missing. We on the behalf of the government will be grateful to all those people who decide to be a part of the statutory services. A helping hand in such emergency will support many lives and there cannot be anything more valuable than saving a life.
