Extract of sample "Healthcare Practitioners in Douglasville"

The working conditions in most healthcare facilities are excellent, with most facilities providing flexible working hours, clean and hygienic work environments, and good employee-employer and patient-doctor relationships. In terms of wages, a majority of healthcare practitioners in Douglasville feel that their current wages are not commensurate with both the economic conditions and the responsibilities they are tasked with.

In the past, there have been various health campaigns aimed at lobbying for higher wages for health professionals. Concerning access to the latest technology, it is understandable that the healthcare institutions in the city have satisfactory but not advanced technology. This is because most of the facilities are small and do not have the financial capability of their larger counterparts in larger cities (Shi & Singh, 2011). Finally, the healthcare consumer population in Douglasville might convince every health practitioner to seek employment in the city. Due to its relatively small population – in comparison to neighboring cities – Douglasville’s patient-doctor ratio is very favorable to the average health practitioner. A majority of health professionals like to work in areas where they can serve the population effectively. The smaller the health consumer population the better the patient-doctor ratio.
