This is because in my life I have never attended such kind of sessions or tried to learn dancing moves in a formal setting except copying new trends after seeing my peers doing them and sometimes from the media. Therefore, dancing improvisation sessions to me during then presented a mixture of emotions though with time I managed to cope with the new them. In most cases, classes in these sessions encompass dancing freely without one claiming to do any given or known style. Hence, give participants adequate time meant for them to be innovative and come up with new moves, which they believe eventually when perfected would be extremely thrilling to the audience. In addition, much of the time availed by tutors who once in awhile join dancers in ensuring they are keeping with their respective practice, is to ensure they develop heightened level of flexibility, which is essential to any individual aspiring to be a talented dancer. Besides dancing classes scheduled by tutors together with their respective managing institutions to teach learners new moves, they avail dancers adequate time meant to discover themselves. This is especially in ascertaining which areas they prove to be innovative as well as exhibit highest level of expertise in order to specialize in them. This is because dancing career has numerous dancing styles, which vary based on culture, region, religion, music genre, generations and others. However, dancers owing to their creativity might come up with new and completely new moves never seen due to the current increasing rate of modernization, which has not only influenced varied global sectors but also how people think. This is especially among youths who are currently extremely innovative compared to those of American era in 1920s. Consequently, this is the reason the tutor normally checks in once in awhile to ensure dancers are still practicing besides coming up with new strategies meant to arouse creativity in us. For instance, the teacher in many times encourages us to imagine being water, soldier, and animal. Therefore, music in this case is inevitable besides making the entire practicing session captivating for dancers. Performers usually dance to diverse songs and beats with the intention of ascertaining exactly what works for their respective styles. Despite music and beats advocated in many structured improvisation dances, dancers can also use other varied sounds sometimes solely selected by their tutors to stimulate movements. These include click, snap, brush, stamping their feet and sometimes pronouncing certain words mostly adjectives. During this time, the dance normally tries his or her best to move upper body part in accordance with the availed music or sound. However, there ought to be coordination between movements and varied body parts, hence enabling dancers come up with a good style though with a lot of exercises. Sometimes training entails one to watch videos of renowned dancers, which not only impart an individual with new styles but also know how to integrate them with what he or she knows. Hence, perfect moves besides these videos acting as motivating tools to the dancers while watching. This is because they will aspire either to equal or surpass the person they have watched performing remarkable moves in the video. For instance, Michael Jackson who to date remains to the best dancer and creative icon the world has ever had since his childhood until his demise (Davis). His creativity characterizing varied dancing styles and moves stand out as the most outstanding features besides endowed with a heightened acumen of being a musician. This is to the extent of even fellow musicians having respect for him. Hence, prompting numerous tutors advocate freestyle in the dancing classes because this is what stimulates dancers to come up with original styles together with watching videos of other performers. The latter action is not to imitate renowned dancers but view and gauge the extent of their flexibility in performing varied moves. Hence, motivating upcoming dancers to develop passion in whatever they are doing despite sometimes repetitive practicing seeming monotonous. To avoid monotonous, dancers ought to have a program for each day despite freestyle practicing mostly advocated by tutors. Since, this will enable them manage to practice together as well as evaluate how they have improved within certain predetermined sessions. In addition, by having programs while practicing will help them devise varied and innovative styles to perform as group. This is evident with Michael Jackson’s troupe though cited to be an exceptional dancer globally during his time and even to date (Davis). Undeniably, dancing like any other co-curriculum activity entails intensive training and sometimes the involved person devoting his or her time selfishly to practice. The role of music in this case is to stimulate dancers’ creativity such that by keeping pace with the music tempo one is capable of coming up with a certain move and if possible develop it. In addition, there is also video watching session whereby dancers view clips of global renowned dancers like the late Michael Jackson (Davis). These videos serve the purpose of motivating dancers and especially those intending to pursue dancing as their profession either to equal or surpass international icons, which they have watched.
